Plantora Privacy Policy

Privacy for the Plantora product experience.

Last updated: May 5, 2026. This page summarizes the current handling of user and app data based on Plantora’s current product scope.

What this policy covers

This policy explains how Plantora handles information connected to guest sessions, signed-in usage, plant management, and feature permissions.

Information you provide or generate

Depending on how you use Plantora, this may include guest session data, Google sign-in profile details, saved plants, plant notes, placement preferences, care tasks, and images uploaded for plant identification or plant updates.

Camera and photo access

Plantora may request camera or photo-library access so users can scan plants or upload plant images. These permissions are optional, but the related features rely on them to work correctly.

How information is used

Data is used to create and maintain sessions, personalize the experience, identify plants, populate the garden and care views, keep task states synchronized, and improve product reliability and support operations.

Backend processing

Plantora currently integrates with backend services for guest session creation, Google sign-in, current profile retrieval, home overview data, care schedules, plant identification, plant storage, plant detail updates, task status changes, and account deletion flows.

Sharing and disclosure

Information may be processed by service providers that support hosting, authentication, analytics, or core app functionality. This site does not describe marketing resale of personal information.

Retention

We keep information for as long as it is needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or maintain account and session continuity. Logged-in users can delete their account inside Plantora when that option is available.

Your choices

You can choose not to sign in, continue as a guest where supported, decline optional permissions, log out, or delete your account if you are signed in. Some features may become unavailable when specific data or permissions are removed.
