QR Scanner & Barcode Privacy Policy

Privacy for scanning, creation, and Art QR tools.

Effective date: August 7, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how TrueLive Apps handles information when you use QR Scanner & Barcode, this website, and related support.

1. Summary

QR Scanner & Barcode does not require an account in the current version.

Scan, creation, and customization history is stored locally on your device.

Camera and selected-photo content is generally processed on your device for scanning and standard QR creation.

The free version may use advertising services, and the app may use analytics, diagnostics, performance, notification, and subscription service providers.

You can contact us at [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.

2. Information we process

Content you scan, create, or customize may include text, URLs, contact details, email or message fields, Wi-Fi credentials, locations, social profile links, payment links, and other information you choose to encode or scan.

With your permission, the app accesses the camera to scan codes, accesses photos you select to scan or use in a design, and saves exported QR images to your photo library. We do not intentionally upload your full photo library.

Local history, language, vibration, autofocus, automatic link opening, onboarding status, and similar preferences may be stored locally on your device.

Depending on your platform, consent choices, and app configuration, service providers may process app interactions, advertising interactions, advertising identifiers, device and app information, approximate location inferred from IP address, subscription status, transaction or receipt information, and notification identifiers.

If you contact support, we receive the information you provide, such as your email address, message, attachments, and technical details. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or sensitive QR content.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide scanning, creation, customization, export, sharing, subscription, and support features.

We use local settings and history to remember your preferences and keep useful results available on your device.

We may use advertising information to deliver and measure ads in the free version, subject to applicable consent choices.

We use purchase information to validate subscriptions, restore entitlements, and prevent purchase fraud.

We use diagnostics, analytics, performance, and security information to understand aggregated product use, monitor reliability, fix issues, prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and comply with law.

4. When information is shared

We do not sell personal information for money.

We may allow processing by providers that help operate the app and website, including Google Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, and messaging; Google Mobile Ads or AdMob for advertising; RevenueCat for subscriptions; Apple App Store and Google Play for purchases; cloud hosting, API, security, and support providers; and authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights and safety.

Some privacy laws define certain advertising disclosures as sharing, targeted advertising, or a sale even when no money changes hands. Where those laws apply, we provide the choices required by law.

5. Advertising, tracking, and consent

The free version may display banner, interstitial, native, or rewarded ads. Ad providers may use device identifiers, IP address, app interactions, and ad interactions to deliver, limit, and measure ads.

Personalized advertising is used only where permitted and, where required, after consent. You can limit ad tracking through your device settings and reopen privacy choices in the app where available.

Premium removes in-app ad placements, but it does not necessarily stop operational analytics, diagnostics, subscription processing, or security processing.

6. Data retention and deletion

Local history and settings remain on your device until you delete applicable entries, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to device backup and operating-system behavior.

Analytics, advertising, diagnostics, subscription, messaging, website security, and support records are retained for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security, or meet provider requirements.

Because QR Scanner & Barcode currently has no account, there is no account-deletion flow. To request deletion of information held by us rather than only on your device, email us with the subject Privacy Request. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where legally required or where an exemption applies.

7. Your choices and rights

You can manage Camera, Photos, Location, Notifications, and tracking permissions in device settings.

You can turn automatic URL opening on or off in the app settings.

You can manage Apple subscriptions at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions and Google Play subscriptions at https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or appeal. Contact [email protected] to make a request.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-party destinations and QR content

A scanned code may open a third-party website or app, start an email or message, show a map, offer to join Wi-Fi, or initiate another external action. We do not control the content or privacy practices of those third parties. Review decoded content before proceeding.

10. Children

QR Scanner & Barcode is intended for users who are old enough to use mobile apps and app-store services in their country, or who use the app with appropriate parent or guardian involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child in a manner prohibited by applicable law.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the app, providers, or law. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. Contact TrueLive Apps at [email protected].
